An abandoned old winery turned into an artistic landmark 惠州废弃老酒厂变身文艺打卡地

The Wild Island Community in Huizhou, Guangdong was formerly an old winery founded in the 1950s. It gradually grew out of fashion as society and economy developed, leaving its old site abandoned for more than ten years.

In 2019, the old industrial site with urban memories was replaced by the “Wild Island Community”, a cultural and creative project, which reformed 18 buildings and was opened in September, 2019. Today, as a new cultural and creative park, the Wild Island Community has become an artistic landmark for citizens and visitors.

广东惠州野岛社区的前身是一座创办于上世纪50年代的老酒厂，在社会经济发展浪潮的席卷下，昔日酒厂逐渐退出历史舞台，其旧址一度荒废十余年。

2019年，“野岛社区”文创项目走进这片残留着城市记忆的工业旧址，对18栋建筑进行活化改造，并于2020年9月正式对外开放。如今，野岛社区作为惠州的新晋文创园，逐渐成为市民游客的文艺打卡新地标。
